A messeage from the owner, Darrel Ardoin

I grew up in a small Cajun farmhouse in Raceland, Louisiana — fifteen acres of cane, fig trees, ducks, Japanese plums, and the kind of poverty you don’t read about. We weren’t struggling. We were poor. We had nothing, and we made it work.

My great-grandfather was a carpenter. He carved decoys by hand and passed that craft to my grandfather, who made a living off it. That legacy stopped with them, but the values didn’t. We were raised to survive, to build, and to figure things out because we had to.

Me and my friends ran the Forty Arpent Canal barefoot, .22s and shotguns slung on our backs, pirogues dragging behind us. We caught turtles, shot squirrels, flipped crawfish traps by flashlight, and came home muddy, sunburned, and proud. If we failed to feed ourselves, we walked home, ate, and walked right back. That was life — our trial by fire.

And I wouldn’t trade it for anything, because it gave me the fuel to build everything I have now.

Today, I started Arpent Line Solutions, a business rooted in that same grit and determination — built to help others do the same. We specialize in building, clearing, creating, and improving the land and lives around us — one job, one relationship, one acre at a time.

I’ve worked the oilfields, stood on hundred-million-dollar builds, and sat in business boardrooms, but it’s still that kid in the cane field who shows up every day. That’s the fire behind this company. That’s why I believe in what we’re doing.

Because I’ve lived it.
And if I could come from nothing and build this — you can too.

This is The Arpent Line.
And we’re here to help you build what’s next.
